So, wow it's been a long time! I'm waiting for Sara to pick me up, so we can go to a birthday party and have a power hour!!!! Maybe! haha.
Greg and I are doing great. He bought a house last weekend. It is in Avilla on Main Street. It is very big and very nice. He is very excited. I was weary in the beginning. But like I said, he is very excited, he has the money, he got an amazing deal, and it will be fantastical.
School is going well. This is my junior year, I am still an elementary education major. I enjoy my classes, they aren't challenging me though. My friend, Crisdale, was telling me that it is because I am good at what I do and that it is coming easily and naturally. I hope she is right and I'm not losing interest. I will student teach next year Spring semester. This worries me, but I am confident that it is what I want to do.
I'm working about 30 hours a week. It is a lot because I am going to school 18 credit hours (which is probably closer to 20 real hours). I work almost every day and am having trouble with being homesick. I went home every weekend my first two years. Now I have only been home about 5 or 6 times. It's kind of depressing. I love it in Muncie, really, but I miss my family and Gizmo and friends and believe it or not Fiesta. Really I guess I work so very much because it's decent money. On average I've made about 380 for two weeks. Not bad, not amazing. I like the girls that I work with. Tina is my manager but I havent worked with her yet. She seems nice though. Kathy is an older woman, ditsy, and very religious, but she's super funny. Katie is about 28 years old and has the cutest two little girls evah! She has had a really hard life, and she really humbles me when I feel down and out. She has had a rough life, yet she is so positive and caring. She is like a big sister. Kim is who I work with most, she is 21, so we're very close in age. I absolutely love her, she is soooo funny and outgoing. She is also very giving and just great overall.
I am also a teaching assistant for History 150. I really enjoy my position because I get to help people my own age instead of little kids. The professor is very nice, he doesn't exactly have the whole core class down yet, but he's getting it, lol!
I joined a sorority this fall. Sigma Kappa. I regret that I didn't join a sorority earlier in college. I haven't told many of my friends, because I'm just not sure what they would think about it. People have stereotypes about 'sorority girls'. I think that is irritating, because just because someone is super pretty doesn't mean they're dumb. My sisters are really diverse, yeah some are "Rachels" like Sara claims, lol, but others are just like me and down to earth. I've gone up and down with how I feel about it and how I fit in and everything, but I enjoy it and I just hope that people can be happy for me. We do a lot of things people don't know about and if anyone actually reads this post and is interested, feel free to ask. I love to talk about it!
Okay Sara is here!
